SILENCER Complete Work On New EP

September 22, 2002

Colorado's SILENCER, now featuring in their ranks guitarist Ritchie Wilkison (ANGEL DUST, DEMONS & WIZARDS),have completed work on a new EP, entitled Structures, for an October 29th release. The five-song EP will be available at Denver-area independent record stores (to be announced shortly),select distributors and from the band directly.

The full track listing for the effort is as follows:

01. Black Hole Engine [Markarian 573]
02. The Bruising Feast
03. Structures
04. This Mythic Image
05. Megalith

According to an official press release, "SILENCER have expanded their approach to high concept metal with these latest offerings, including sharper song structures, increased melody and more aggression. Structures is a snapshot in time of the band's sound as of late 2002 in their constant musical progression.

"Structures features the most songwriting collaboration to date for the band, as all members have written or co-written at least one song on this release. Jeff Alexis has stepped up admirably in the melodic riff department, while Ritchie Wilkison and Nick Seelinger contributed heartily in the aggressive side of things. This makes for a more diverse release, as the band are out to show their versatility in the metal realm while still concentrating on a central overall direction."

The band are currently booking a southwest tour, which is scheduled to begin with a massive CD release/tour kick-off show on November 2nd at the Sherman St. Events Center in Denver. Also appearing on the bill will be CORRUPTION, THROCULT, ESOVAE, and EMBER.
